DESIGN YOUR OWN RACKET HANDLE

On the one hand, it’s all about the look of your individual table tennis blade – you can design the handle according to your own wishes. Even two different handle colours on forehand and backhand are no problem. We build your table tennis blade exactly the way you want it.

A second important point is the weight or balance of the finished table tennis blade.

Each material has its own weight – if you really want to control your blade down to the last detail, you should consider this when choosing the handle colour. Here we explain in detail how you can control the balance of your table tennis blade .

WOOD IS A NATURAL PRODUCT

No two trees are the same – each has its own structure.
That’s why it’s always a little surprise to see which grain comes out after polishing. We cut the raw wood in such a way that the most beautiful part of the grain becomes visible. Thus each handle becomes a small unique specimen.

weight

PLEASE NOTE THAT THE DIFFERENT COLOURS AND SHAPES HAVE DIFFERENT EFFECTS ON THE WEIGHT OF THE BLADE.

The weight is displayed live in the configurator. IMPORTANT: These are approximate values. Depending on the grain and structure of the wood, the weight can vary slightly – we can therefore give you no guarantee that we will achieve exactly this weight at the end. However, we do our best to get as close as possible to you.

Not sure which handle length is right for you? Or do you prefer a thin or strong handle?

We have prepared this measuring aid for this case. You can simply print it out and ‘measure’ your hand with it.

Download:

How it works:

  • Download measuring aid for right or left handed players
  • Print PDF at 100%
  • Please check whether the comparison field has an edge length of 5 x 5cm. This is the only way you can be sure that you have printed out the measuring aid correctly and that the dimensions are correct.
  • Put your hand on the mark and read the result.

Please note that this measuring aid is only intended as a decision-making aid. You do not have to depend on the result and we cannot guarantee that you will like the handle.

The best way to find the right handle is to simply feel it and try it out. If you are not sure, it is better to order our test blades or test cases in advance. This way you can be sure that the racket will fit your hand perfectly afterwards.

If you have any questions, we will be happy to help you by telephone. You can reach us at +49 2631 956814.

Basalt – A special composite fibre

Materials & production

Using Basalt-Fibre in table tennis blades

table tennis blades with basalt fibre

a hitec mesh made from stone

We are constantly on the lookout for new materials and technologies, and we came across an exciting synthetic fibre made of Basalt. This fibre actually consists of melted Basalt stone and convinced us immediately after the first tests.

BASALT FIBre MAKES TABLE TENNIS BLADES EXTREMELY FLEXIBLE

Table tennis blades with Basalt fibre are particularly suitable for players who are looking for a fast but not too stiff blade.
The special feature of Basalt blades is their enormous flexibility.
Compared to a Carbon blade they are similarly fast, but much less stiff. The table tennis blade remains very flexible due to the embedded Basalt fibres, so that you have a soft touch similar to a solid wood. In addition, the Basalt fibre ensures that the blade hardly vibrates and you get a very clear feedback.

When it comes to speed, table tennis blades with Basalt fabric are a little slower than Carbon blades. For those who don’t need an extremely high tempo, but prefer good control and a soft feel, a Basalt blade is the right choice. It also has a high spin potential, a high ball bounce and a beautiful flight curve.

BASALT – the raw material

Basalt is a black, alkaline lava rock and is abundant all over the world. It is formed everywhere where magma exits from the ground and cools to basalt lava, e.g. in regions like the volcanic Eifel. Since we live here in direct neighbourhood to the volcanic Eifel, we are of course all the more pleased that we found such a great material directly in front of our front door ?

Infinitely long and fine fibres can be extracted from the molten rock, which are then processed into a basalt fabric. This technology has only recently become available and is not yet widespread.

BASALT and the enviroment

Basalt fibre is a pure natural product, made of melted Basalt stone without further additives. The fabric is 100% recyclable.

If you would like to find out more about the structure and veneer combinations of our Basalt blade, then take a look at our material advice.

How to clean and improve abs balls

Video: How to clean ABS balls

In this video we show you how you can clean ABS balls so that they can be played like the good old celluloid balls again.

No more white stains on your rubber

A big problem since the switch to plastic balls is the floury layer of dust on the balls, which leaves annoying white stains on the rubbers.

However, stains are the minor problem – much worse is that the balls slip off the rubber due to the dust and no longer have any grip. You hardly have a chance to play balls with high speed and a lot of spin, which is probably the main reason why the new plastic balls are quite unpopular with many players.

The solution: the new ball cleaner CLEANSI 3000

With the CLEANSI 3000 the annoying layer of dust can be quickly and easily removed from plastic balls. The result is a table tennis ball that finally has grip again and can be played like an old celluloid ball.

How can you remove the dust from Table tennis balls?

IN THIS VIDEO WE SHOW YOU HOW FAST AND EASY IT IS TO CLEAN THE BALLS AND IMPROVE THEIR PLAYING CHARACTERISTICS.

All you need is an old table tennis rubber, the CLEANSI 3000 and of course a dusty ball. Place one of the sanding pads between the ball and the CLEANSI 3000 (writing upwards). With circular and straight movements alternately rub the ball on the surface of your old rubber. You will quickly see how much dust and dirt remains on the surface.

Your ball now has a nice smooth surface with good grip and takes the spin much better now. Make the before and after comparison.

VIDEO: Laser engraving of serial numbers

Video So lasern wir die individuelle Seriennummer auf ihr Tischtennis-Holz

insights into production

THIS IS HOW WE LASER THE SERIAL NUMBERS ONTO OUR TABLE TENNIS bladeS

Video: How we laser the serial numbers

In this video we show you how we burn the unique serial numbers into our blades using a laser.

EACH OF OUR bladeS IS MARKED WITH AN INDIVIDUAL SERIAL NUMBER

This means that even after many years we can still see for whom the blade was built, when it was built and, most importantly, how the veneer is constructed. We burn this individual serial number with a laser into the blade just above the handle – so that it is later covered by the rubber.

So if you want to order another blade even years later and don’t remember what you ordered back then, we just need your serial number and can tell you exactly how you configured your blade.

In addition there is a certificate of authenticity for each table tennis blade, which contains the same serial number and shows again how the blade is assembled.

Last but not least, there is a small thank you in the form of a mini-bat that goes with every table tennis blade. This mini racket consists of exactly the same piece of wood as its large counterpart and is therefore also a small unique specimen. It also has to be placed under the laser, where it is marked with the SOULSPIN logo and can then be used by you as a key ring.

Have fun with the video!?

Table tennis Tutorials and instructions

how to glue table tennis rubbers

In this video we will show you how to glue a table tennis rubber correctly.
All you need is: Table tennis blade and rubber, glue with clamp and sponge, a roller to press the rubber on and sharp scissors. If you want to speed up the drying process, you can also use a hair dryer.

In this video we use our glue CONNECT for this purpose. This adhesive is suitable for all kinds of rubbers and can be easily removed again.
However, if you prefer a slightly thicker glue or if you play a rubber with a coarse, open-pored sponge, CONNECT + will probably do better. This adhesive is slightly thicker in consistency, but is processed in exactly the same way as the thinner CONNECT.
Both are latex-based glues for table tennis rubbers (VOC free) and can be easily removed from blade and sponge. Multiple gluing of rubbers is therefore possible without any problems.

Have fun with the video!
